SC6 Artist Series: Gallery Talk with ceramic artist Virginia Scotchie
- 1:00 p.m.

“I have an obsession with spouts, handles and knobs. This probably comes from being a potter when I first worked in clay. I think it is also about wanting my work to be verb-like in its reference to the everyday."
- Virginia Scotchie

The SC6 Artist Series features gallery talks with the six ceramic artists represented in the Gallery 15 installation, SC6: Six South Carolina Innovators in Clay. Scotchie’s colorful vessels incorporate familiar shapes with luminous glazes. She is the head of the ceramics department at the University of South Carolina. Cost: Free with admission or membership.
