In Spheres 2001, the sphere is used to create rows of repetition in a grid formation on the wall. The viewer walks into the space and is surrounded by spheres. Within this visual repetition it is my intention to pull the viewer closer to inspect each sphere as they approach the wall. The juxtaposition of color and texture serves to separate and at the same time, unite each sphere. The bronze glaze reflects a human-made surface and the crusty colored glaze makes a reference to the natural world.
